Professional straight cutter set for grooving, trenching, mortising and edge-routing applications in timber and engineered wood materials
The Milwaukee 4932501049 Straight Bit Set is a professional woodworking cutter set comprising five two-flute straight router bits with a 1/4″ shank configuration. Designed for grooving, dado cutting, trenching, mortising and general material removal operations, the set covers the most commonly used cutter diameters of 4 mm, 6.35 mm, 8 mm, 10 mm and 12.7 mm. Each cutter is manufactured using cobalt-infused micro-grain tungsten carbide, providing enhanced wear resistance and edge retention during repetitive routing operations in hardwood, softwood, plywood and engineered wood products.
The cutting edges are produced through a multi-axis CNC grinding process that creates a precise cutting geometry for improved finish quality and extended service life. Milwaukee’s triple-layer silver-copper-silver brazing process strengthens the carbide-to-body bond, while the increased carbide thickness allows multiple resharpening cycles during the cutter’s working life. An anti-friction coating reduces heat generation, resin build-up and cutting resistance, while the integrated anti-kickback shoulder helps control cutting depth and minimise kickback during routing operations.
