The Makita DPJ180Z is an 18V LXT cordless biscuit jointer engineered for carpenters, cabinetmakers and fit-out professionals requiring accurate biscuit joint slots in sheet materials and solid timber. The unit operates with a 100 mm TCT blade and delivers a no-load speed of 6,500 rpm, providing consistent groove cutting performance across MDF, plywood and hardwood applications.
The plunge mechanism offers an adjustable cutting depth from 8 mm to 20 mm, with a maximum plunge depth of 20 mm. The angle fence can be locked between 0° and 90°, with positive stops at 0°, 45° and 90° to support repeatable alignment during panel assembly. Electronic overload protection and an anti-restart function enhance operational safety, while the integrated dust bag improves extraction during slot cutting. The battery protection system automatically shuts off power when the battery level is low.
