The Makita DTW701RTJ is a cordless impact wrench within the 18V LXT platform, engineered for high torque fastening in automotive, maintenance and structural assembly environments. It delivers a maximum fastening torque of 700 Nm and features a 1/2″ square drive with detent pin for secure socket retention under load. The brushless motor design improves efficiency, reduces heat generation and eliminates maintenance associated with carbon brushes. The tool incorporates four selectable speed and torque modes, enabling controlled fastening depending on bolt size and material resistance.
The wrench operates with variable speed ranges from 0 to 2200 rpm and impact rates up to 2700 ipm, covering both controlled tightening and heavy-duty fastening. It integrates three reaction time modes with automatic stop in forward and reverse rotation, reducing the risk of over-tightening and fastener drop-off. The tightening capacity ranges from M10 to M24 bolts. Twin LED lights improve visibility in low-light conditions, while XPT (eXtreme Protection Technology) enhances resistance against dust and moisture. This RTJ configuration includes two 5.0Ah batteries, a fast charger and a MAKPAC type 3 case for transport and system storage.
