The Makita DTW800Z is powered by the 18V LXT® battery platform and features a high-efficiency brushless motor capable of delivering up to 800 Nm of fastening torque. Its 7/16 inch (11.1 mm) hex drive is engineered for use with large ship auger bits and heavy-duty hex accessories, making it suitable for timber construction, utility pole work, and structural installation applications. Three electronically controlled speed settings allow the operator to balance torque output and drilling performance according to the task.
The brushless motor design reduces maintenance requirements while improving efficiency and operating life. An integrated LED work light enhances visibility in low-light working conditions, while the wide hanging hook allows the tool to be suspended from scaffolding and structural members when not in use. The battery protection system automatically interrupts power when battery capacity becomes critically low, helping to protect both the battery and the tool.
