The Makita DST221Z is part of the professional 18V LXT cordless platform and is supplied as a body-only machine without battery or charger. It is engineered for 10 mm crown staples from 10 mm to 22 mm in length with a wire section of 0.6 × 1.2 mm. The 98-staple magazine and integrated depth adjustment provide consistent fastening performance across different construction materials. This cordless stapler is particularly suited for repetitive installation work where speed and fastening consistency are essential.
The compact housing allows comfortable operation in confined spaces while the rubberised Soft Grip handle improves user control during prolonged use. Makita’s battery protection system automatically stops the tool when battery voltage becomes too low, helping protect the battery pack. The DST221Z delivers approximately 3,000 staples per charge when used with a suitable LXT battery, making it well suited for professional installation and finishing applications.
