The Makita DUC101Z is an 18V LXT brushless 100 mm pruning saw engineered for arborists, landscapers and property maintenance professionals requiring controlled, one-handed cutting performance. The compact BL motor delivers a chain speed of 8.0 m/s (480 m/min), supporting efficient pruning of branches and timber sections while maintaining balanced handling.
The 100 mm guide bar operates with 80TXL chain (0.325″ pitch, 1.1 mm gauge) and integrates automatic chain lubrication to reduce the risk of chain stall caused by insufficient oil supply. Tool-less chain change and tension adjustment are achieved via a large lever mechanism for rapid on-site servicing. eXtreme Protection Technology enhances resistance against dust and moisture for outdoor applications. A movable upper guard progressively opens as the cut deepens, improving operator control during branch work.
