The Makita DUC258RT is an 18V LXT® top-handle chainsaw engineered for pruning, canopy maintenance, and precision branch removal applications. Powered by a high-efficiency brushless motor, the saw achieves a maximum chain speed of 24 m/s for rapid cutting performance and clean pruning results. The compact top-handle configuration improves manoeuvrability when working in confined spaces and elevated positions, while the 250 mm guide bar provides the cutting capacity required for routine arboricultural operations.
The brushless motor design reduces maintenance requirements and improves efficiency compared with conventional brushed systems. Adjustable automatic chain lubrication ensures continuous oil delivery to the chain and guide bar via the integrated 140 ml oil reservoir. Variable speed trigger control enables precise management of chain speed for improved cutting accuracy and control. This kit includes a 5.0Ah LXT® battery and a fast charger, providing extended runtime for demanding professional pruning schedules while maintaining excellent balance and handling characteristics.
