The Makita DKP181RFJ is a professional 18V LXT cordless planer featuring a high-efficiency Brushless motor delivering a constant no-load speed of 12,000 rpm for fast, consistent stock removal. With an 82 mm planing width and an adjustable cutting depth of up to 3 mm, this cordless planer is suitable for trimming internal doors, fitting worktops, machining timber edges and producing rebates in both softwood and hardwood applications. The brushless motor design eliminates carbon brushes, reducing maintenance requirements while improving runtime and power efficiency.
The planer incorporates Makita Auto-Start Wireless System (AWS) technology, allowing Bluetooth communication with compatible dust extractors for automatic dust extraction activation during operation. Three integrated V-grooves in the front base enable accurate chamfering, while the precision depth adjustment knob provides simple and repeatable cutting depth settings. Chip ejection can be directed to either side of the machine to improve flexibility in confined working areas. The electric brake enhances productivity and operator safety, while the battery protection system automatically shuts down the tool when battery voltage is low.
