The Makita DKP181RTJ is a professional 18V LXT cordless planer equipped with a high-efficiency Brushless motor delivering a constant no-load speed of 12,000 rpm for fast and consistent stock removal. Designed for demanding woodworking applications, this 82 mm cordless planer provides a maximum cutting depth of 3 mm and a rebating capacity of up to 25 mm, making it suitable for trimming internal doors, fitting worktops, reducing timber sections and machining softwood or hardwood components. The brushless motor architecture eliminates carbon brushes, improving efficiency while reducing maintenance requirements.
The machine incorporates Makita Auto-Start Wireless System (AWS) technology, allowing Bluetooth communication with compatible dust extractors for automatic dust extraction activation. Three integrated V-grooves in the front base enable accurate chamfering operations, while the precision depth adjustment knob allows fast and repeatable cutting depth settings. The electric brake increases productivity and operator safety during repetitive applications, and the low battery protection system automatically shuts down the tool when battery voltage becomes insufficient. Supplied as the RTJ version, this kit includes two 18V 5.0Ah LXT batteries, a DC18RC rapid charger and a MAKPAC Type 3 case for protected transport and storage.
